Gardening and Eco Club
Welcome to our new page!
The Gardening and Eco Club have been very busy getting the new garden area prepared and ready for use. We have dug over the plots with the help of parents, carers and the kind help of the Capital One volunteers. We are busy being eco friendly by making our own compost and saving water in our newly installed water butt.
The club have planted some seeds and young plants to harvest later on this year, these include: carrot, lettuce, raddish, spring onion, courgette, tomato, sweet pea, marigolds, beetroot, nasturtium and pumpkin.
During our Keen to be Green Week, Class 2 made two scarecrows, which they kindly donated to look after our crops. Class 4 have also planted some tomato plants and have sown carrot, beans, beetroot, peas and lettuce seeds.
